Child protection policy

The Protection of Children (Scotland) Act 2003

The Act states that ‘anyone who works or volunteers in a child care position must be Disclosure Scotland checked’. This means that all organisations, including sports clubs, are legally bound to have all coaches and other volunteers who work with or coach their juniors must have a Police Disclosure carried out.

If you have not had a Police Disclosure done, and could be involved with juniors, contact Gill Berrow for details of how to go about it.

EckO adhere to the SOA child protection policy which is available on the SOA website.
