Briony selected for Scottish Squad
Briony Kincaid, has been selected to join The Scottish Junior Orienteering Squad (Scotjos).
This provides training and a development programme for teenagers showing a high ability in the sport.
Each year the team is reselected using results from throughout the previous year’s main competitions. The selection panel looks for 24 to 30 squad members each year between the ages of 13 and 18. This year 30 youths have been selected including Briony, who is a member of EckO. She has been picked along with two other girls and three boys from different parts of Scotland to run in her age group. She will have to attend various training weekends and most national events throughout the year.
