Club Coaching weekend

Details of the accommodation, coaching sessions, evening entertainment and ‘what to bring’ for the weekend!

Travel directions

Head for Kingussie and then north on the B9152 to the village of Kincraig. In the village turn right at the War Memorial and continue for approx 1 mile crossing the River Spey with Loch Insh on your right.  At the T junction after Loch Insh Watersports turn left onto the B970 to Feshie Bridge.  Once over the bridge turn right just after the red phone box.  Lagganlia is approx ½ mile down this road on the right. Coaching sessions

Fiona Berrow and Ross McLennan are joining us to help with the weekend coaching.
At the moment there is still deep snow on all areas; this image of Craigellachie was taken on Thursday 4th March - and this is the lowest part of the map! Hopefully it might disappear enough to do some orienteering. It is important that everyone takes care; we do not want anyone to injure themselves early in the orienteering season.

Friday night

If possible, a briefing about the sessions for adults, including current snow level. Decisions regarding group to join. Fill in a ‘Contact/Medical details’ form (these will be shredded at the end of the weekend).

Saturday morning

approx time 10:30am to 12noon: Ellan Wood, Carrbridge for all.

Saturday afternoon

approx time 2 to 3:30pm: North Granish near Aviemore for Adults only (Juniors will be otherwise occupied by?)

Sunday morning

approx time 9:30 to 11am: Experienced adults to Craigellachie near Aviemore; less experienced adults & juniors at Lagganlia

Sunday afternoon

approx time 2 to 3:30pm: Fun events at Moor of Alvie near Kincraig for all.
