Spring Series 2011 survey

We have set up a ‘Doodle’ vote to help with the planning of dates for this year’s Spring Series. There will be six events in the series which will be held from week beginning Monday 18th April to the end of May (about 26th May)

Please vote for the days each week you are likely to come along to an orienteering event. Most (or all) of the events will be evening with the start times from about 6 to 7pm. Also, there is the possibility of holding the final event on either Saturday 21st May or Sunday 22nd May (this would be an afternoon event) instead of an evening the following week.

This information will help us ensure that the greatest number of people can get to the most number of events. Having events on different days seemed to be popular when we did it last time. It can be confusing, but some people just can’t do a particular day ever, so they miss the whole series. You are not committing to be there by voting for particular days, just giving us an idea of possible numbers.

Who

If you would like to plan or organise or help at an event then please use the ‘add comment’ at the bottom. If you have a preferred date and location then please also state that.
Or send an email to if you have questions before you commit.

Where

We are more restricted in the locations we can orienteer on this spring due to the areas being used for Oban 2011. The following are available (although there might be access restrictions with lambing etc.):

Kerrera, Sutherland’s Grove, Fearnoch, Inverawe, Airds Park East, Coille Nathais, Inveraray, Kilmory, Ardkinglas (?), Lochgoilhead, Strachur, Kilmun & Puck’s Glen.
Have a look at the Maps page if you are not sure where they are.

Vote

Here is the Doodle link for you to place your vote:

Voting will close on Monday 7th February – vote NOW before you forget!
