Condes: a session to help people make progress with using Condes as a course planning tool.
Event Safety & Welfare: a session to enable anyone who might organise an event get to grips with the safety and paperwork side of things!

Start times:

Condes workshop: 10am to 2pm (if you are not involved in the Event Safety workshop you can stay on !)
Event Safety workshop: 2pm to 5pm

Entry Fees:

No cost. Please bring along your lunch and some cake!

Safety

Orienteering is an adventurous activity and as such carries certain risks. Minor injuries such as sprains, cuts and bruises are not uncommon. More serious injuries can occur. All competitors must accept this risk and take part in the competition at their own risk. Each competitor is also responsible for their own safety. (BOF rule 1.7.1)

SPORTident (SI) electronic punching is always used.

Maps are pre-marked and printed on waterproof paper.

Explanation of Course Colours

Yellow = Easy controls on paths with some controls just off paths, compass not essential.

Orange = Moderate with most controls just off paths or line features, compass recommended.

Light Green = More technical than Orange but not as hard as Green.

Green = Technical with most controls NOT on paths or line features.

Blue = Same as Green but longer (5km +).
