Bishops Glen, 24th April 07

People came from as far a-field as Glasgow, Oban and Strachur as well as Kirn and Dunoon on a rather damp evening to run Yellow, Orange and Red courses. I used the new car park on the forestry road for registration in order to have the start a bit farther up the glen than on previous occasions.

It was great to see the Kirn Primary pupils enjoying the Yellow course, and I appreciate the support of all the participants – thanks for coming!

Apologies to the Red course runners about the long uphill stretch to number 4, but fallen trees block some of the rides and burnsides, and the forest blocks are very thick and not mapped in detail so the planning options are limited. Gives you a good training run however!

My grateful thanks to Paul and Bill for setting out the courses, and to Paul, Lynne, Andy, Gill and Carol for collecting them in – plus all the other stuff Paul and Lynne did! Hope my knee recovers soon and allows me to take full responsibility next time!
