Lochgoilhead / Ardroy, 22nd May 07
The area around the Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre had just been mapped and so we decided to use it for this event instead of the usual area above Lochgoilhead village. We thank them for the use of the map and the facilities at the centre, and Richard Hathway, who was involved in the planning and organization of the event.
A group from Kirn primary school have become regulars at the spring series and we hope they enjoyed the challenge.
Well done to Connor and Haydn who completed the yellow course in 17 mins 16secs, almost 13mins quicker than the next pair! They were keen to go out again on the harder orange course but ran out of time to complete it.
Lucy and Russell won the orange course by only 18secs ahead of Marieke.
Once again Andy Dale showed everyone a clean pair of heels on the red course, although 'Scrutts' (who doesn't claim to be an orienteer, perhaps he should!) wasn't far behind.
