Sutherland's Grove, 1st May 07
It was a beautiful evening at Sutherland's Grove, and another great turn-out for an evening event, marred only by a few early midges.
Much of the forest is rather rough underfoot, but the scenery of the gorge and some wonderful patches of sun-dappled deciduous woods provided compensation. There is plenty of work to be done on the map, so there should be more scope for future course planners.
Apologies for the fact that we ran out of green course maps and thanks to those who gave up their maps to late starters.
