Type of event: Local (D)
Nearest town: Benderloch
We returned to Andy Dale's superb, large scale map of Tralee Beach and surroundings for the latest in our autumn/winter series of events. Courses were short with lots of controls, so orienteering was fast and furious, the weather was forgiving, and the turnout was great.
Many thanks to Louis for planning the courses with help of Jura and Susannah. Those aware of sprint orienteering rules will have noted Louis made good use of the olive green out of bounds areas on the map and heavy purple uncrossable line symbols on some fences to force more round about route choices. Those not aware of these O-rules should take note for future events!
Thanks also to Tralee Holiday Park for allowing us access to their site and to Alan for setting and printing the maps.
