Safety Information

Registration and Start times

Registration at Sutherland's Grove Forestry Commission Car Park at 11.00am. You will not need dibbers - just a pencil or felt pen and a watch.

Course Information

Sutherland's Grove:

11:00 - 12:00

We will kick off the festivities with a team score event in Sutherland's Grove. There will be a mass start at 11.15am. Teams will be decided by the organiser and each team will have 45 minutes to collectively 'dib' as many controls as possible. Time penalties will be incurred for every minute over time. There will be a couple of interesting twists where more points can be won but all will be revealed at the briefing which will be held at 11.00 at the start.

Please remember to bring a watch and a pencil or felt pen as we will not be using SI timing.

There will be an easier score course for families not wishing to take part in the team score event.

Barcaldine Primary School:

12:00 - 13:00

After the team score event, please walk over to Barcaldine Primary School. Please take great care crossing the main road and young juniors should be accompanied by an adult.

There will be 3 activities for everybody to participate in and include a Norwegian course around the school grounds, a dummy compass activity and finally a circular map activity for small juniors.

Soup, rolls, mince pies and cakes will be available at the school. We ask that everybody brings their own mug/bowl and spoon for the soup. Please bring your own drink.

You will receive an e-mail asking you to bring either soup, rolls or cakes and mince pies. Gas burners will be provided to heat the soup.
