Local level event
Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Report
Another very satisfying EckO event, thanks to planner/organiser John McLuckie. More than forty folk sampled the varied terrain of such a small area and repaid John's efforts with lots of positive comments at download.
We had a small difficulty in that the EckO club dibbers can store only 30 punch times, but there were 35 controls; so those using a hired dibber and visiting most or all controls lost the last few. I have queried the control boxes and credited those affected by this with their full quota of points.

Start times: 11.00 - 12.00

Course Information
This will be a score event. Everyone will have 45 minutes to visit as many controls as possible (in any order). Controls score different points - 10 points for easy/nearby controls; 50 points for difficult/distant controls. There is a penalty (ten points per minute) for exceeding 45 minutes; so a watch/GPS device/etc is essential to avoid incurring penalty points.
