EckO is kicking off the start of the new session with a bonanza of orienteering activities suitable for all ages. We are starting in September with two introductory coached orienteering sessions on Sunday morning 5th September and 12th September.

The coached sessions are aimed at either individual adult or family participation and will be suitable for anyone aged 8 or older. Both juniors and adults can participate at the same time, but please note that at least one adult is expected to stay for the duration of the session, either in a participatory or supervisory role. Younger children who are new to orienteering are likely to need shadowing by a parent.

The sessions will be planned to be progressive and therefore participation in the two sessions is strongly encouraged.

Following on from this there will be an opportunity to participate in an orienteering event at Kinlochleven, to be held in conjunction with the Skyline Scotland running festival in September and a local orienteering event at Glencoe Lochans, run by EckO.

The provisional programme is:
Sunday, Sep 5th: Basic introduction and skills coaching, Ganavan, Oban Time: 10:30 - 12:30

Sunday, Sep 12th: Developing Skills, Tralee, Benderloch Time: 10.30 - 12.30

Saturday, Sep 18th: Orienteering event at Kinlochleven during Skyline Scotland weekend. This is a SOUL (part of the Scottish Urban Orienteering League but open to anyone). During the weekend there will be 'have a go orienteering' with Scottish Orienteering.

Saturday, Sept 25th: Local event at Glencoe Lochans (see EckO website for details)

Fees £6 per adult, £3 per child.
Entry to Kinlochleven and Glencoe Lochans events extra. (see website for further details)

After you have submitted this form you will receive acknowledgement of your registration together with information about how to pay the fees.

Registration for the sessions will close on 31st Aug 2021
