Practising fine compass and pacing was the order of the day for SWAT.

It was great to see the Owen's family along with the Cottiers at the most recent SWAT training at Beecraigs Country Park near Linlithgow. The focus of the morning session was to practice fine compass skills and pacing which are both very important skills to develop. After lunch, the afternoon was spent putting these skills into practice with a clock relay followed by relay practice including a mass start and gaffled legs. The whole day was great fun. Many thanks to Jen Leonard (FVO) for planning the exercises and all the coaches who helped out on the day.
