Overview
Dunstaffnage is a great area for short courses, especially around Dunstaffnage Castle, which is contained by natural boundaries and yet has relatively low visibility in summer.
The open moorland gives a good introduction to using contours. The area extends to the south on the Dunollie/Ganavan map and includes Dunbeg village and surrounding housing schemes making for an urban - coastal - parkland combination. Not typical Ecko terrain!

The course is a scatter course. Try getting all the controls or use plan your own shorter course to suit your orienteering ability.

Directions / Parking
Leave the A85 at Dunbeg and follow the signs for Dunstaffnage Castle. Park in the Castle car park (check times for closing) or in the marine lab car park

There is a tearoom in the Castle (check opening times). There are also some facilities in Dunbeg village or Poppies Garden Centre.
