AGM 2019

EckO's Annual General Meeting took place after the Glencruitten Woods event on Sunday

After an excellent event organised by John McLuckie at Glencruitten, EckO held their Annual General Meeting at Oban Mountain Rescue Post. Many thanks to Oban Mountain Rescue for allowing us to use this excellent facility.

After refuelling with tea and cakes, we settled down to the AGM. Thank you to all those who attended.

Office bearers and ordinary members were re-elected unopposed:

EckO would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the committee for all their hard work over the last year, which has helped to drive the club forward.

Scottish Orienteering League certificates for 2018 were presented with some notable performances from our Juniors and three of our adults! Well done to these athletes and all who took part. Hopefully, we will see more of our members venturing further afield this year.

Special mention has to go to Tom Lines (M20) who represented Great Britain last year and has again been selected to the GB talent squad for 2019. Louis Macmillan (M16) has also been selected to the Scottish Junior Squad 2019. Congratulations to both.

We look forward to another year of exciting orienteering opportunities, which will kick start shortly with the spring series. Keep an eye on the website for further details.

Next year's AGM will be held on Sunday 16th February, 2020.

The next Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, 27/03/2019.

If you are a member of EckO and would like to have some input into the running of the club or would simply like to find out more about what goes on in the background to magically produce these amazing ‘O’ events, you would be welcome to attend our committee meetings. As an added attraction there is always cake on offer!
