Local level event
Explanation of Event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Activities are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships.

Starts from 11.00 to 12.00.
If you would like some coaching and introduction to orienteering technique, please come for 10.00hrs.
Course Information
Range of courses to suit all
- String course suitable for toddlers and young families
- Yellow - 1-2Km Uses simple linear features like paths, walls and streams. Mainly used by under 12’s and family groups
- Orange - 2-3Km - Basic use of the compass and route choice. Ideal for novice adults or experienced youngsters
- Short Green - 3-4Km -for experienced orienteers. Physically and technically challenging but shorter than a green
- Blue - 4-6 Km- for experienced orienteers. Physically and technically challenging but longer than a green

Seniors (members) : £6
Seniors (non members of Scottish Orienteering or British Orienteering) : £7
